We are very proud of “Quorum”.
Yesterday was a special day!
We presented “Quorum“, a show included in the EqualSTEAM event that put on stage the discussion about gender stereotypes in academia.
At a time when it is increasingly urgent to face topics such as power, representativeness, parenting, precariousness, masculinity, and productivity, we believe that initiatives like yesterday’s are a relevant contribution to give way to an academic community more and more egalitarian.
Besides the due thanks to the partner entities that helped to make last night a success, we would like to express our enormous gratitude to all the interpreters who, assuming a role that is not professionally theirs, lent all their commitment and selflessness to this cause: Ana Maria Martins Roeber, Bráulio Manuel Lopes, Maria I. R. Alfaiate, Rita Alcaire, Sílvia Castro and Vera de Almeida. It were four months of intense work in after working hours, for which Marionet is very grateful.
Of course, our Mário Montenegro, who is very used to being on stage, also deserves a mention, as he was also responsible for the staging of the show.
Finally, a word of appreciation for the work done by several people in the discussion and ideas phase, especially Camila Reis who, unfortunately, could not be with us last night.
