We took part in the Neuroscience Meets Society seminar

Yesterday took place the Neuroscience Meets Society seminar included in the Winter School of the Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra, where our artistic director Mário Montenegro presented the paper “Dramaturgies about Science: close collaborations between theatre and science”.

 

The goal of the meeting was to contribute to the development of important and crucial transversal skills for a contemporary researcher, and it was aimed at doctoral students in the field of neurosciences. It explored topics such as funding opportunities, writing scientific grants, ethics, public involvement, societal challenges, journalism, visual communication, and career development, with the presence of various national and international leading experts.

 

This was yet another moment in which we strengthened the ties between theatre and science, work that Marionet has been doing for over 20 years.
