A expressão das emoções | LED – Viagem ao interior num computador
Mário Montenegro
This volume gathers the texts The expression of the emotions (2014) and LED – Inner voyage in a computer (2006). Two plays inspired by scientific themes, written and set to stage by Mario Montenegro. In both cases we stand before a writing that experiments and makes way through the dialog between art and science, in the first case, speculating on the classification of human emotions, an effort began by physiologists and naturalists in the 19th century; in the second case calling on the inner workings of a digital computer, an apparatus born of the 20th century and which came to redefine the limits of human experience. The creation process implied the cooperation between researchers and artists, confirming the unique role that both the author and Marionet as a company play in Portugal regarding science-themed theatre and drama.
