Here are the 4 shows of the Conference!
As you may already know, from October 23rd to 25th, we will welcome dozens of theater and science experts from around the world to Coimbra for the third edition of the international conference “Theater About Science“. And some will bring shows with them!
Thus, the event’s artistic program includes four show, two of them premiering in our country. All performances will also be open to the public who are not registered for the conference, providing an excellent opportunity to experience examples of this fruitful intersection between theater and science.
On the first day of the event, coinciding with Marionet’s 25th anniversary, we will be reprising the show ‘The Virtuoso‘, which premiered last year. Following on the 24th, we will be presenting two shows from the United Kingdom (‘Synchronicity‘ and ‘The Axiom of Choice‘), both premiering in our country and focusing on prominent figures in science. Finally, concluding this academic-artistic gathering will be ‘Christiane, a Scientific Bio-Musical‘, created and performed by Argentinean Belén Pasqualini.
With the performances taking place at the Paulo Quintela Theater, the Gil Vicente Academic Theater, and the Convento São Francisco, two of them will be free and the other two will require a ticket. It should also be noted that the performances presented in English will have Portuguese subtitles.
