Are you also walking on clouds?

“Clouds” is the second instalment of the Marionet Digital project and focuses on a familiar theme to our work: epilepsy. This is a neurological condition that interferes with various mental and physical functions and affects around 65 million people worldwide. Its origin is still largely unknown to the medical community and, due to its unpredictability, it can be a heavy burden on the well-being of some patients.

 

Based on our recent show “The Epilepsy Algorithm“, this is a Digital Artistic Object, so it will only have an online existence, with its premiere scheduled for the various Marionet platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) on 29 September, at 3:00 pm.

 

Marionet Digital is a space for artistic creation, designed for exclusively online communication formats. The set of three works to be produced in 2023, designed for this context, is centred on themes from the Health Sciences. Epilepsy is a disease of the central nervous system that causes abnormal electrical discharges in neurons. Without regard to gender or age, this is a disease that, in addition to the risk of accidents, trauma, prolonged seizures and sudden death caused by convulsions, is also directly related to psychological (anxiety, depression, etc.) and social conditions (social isolation, unemployment, etc.). However, with developments in medicine, it is possible to control seizures in two thirds of people with the disease and reduce side effects, promoting the health and well-being of epilepsy sufferers.
