In just a few days, we've been to Naples and Funchal!

Last January we became official partners of the project OneAquaHealth and its international team met in Naples on 7 and 8 April. Our Production Director Francisca Moreira was there to present the specifics of the task Marionet is responsible for as part of this project, which will continue until the end of 2026.

 

A few days later, our company’s Artistic Director, Mário Montenegro, took part in the SciCom 2025 Congress in Funchal. On 10 April, he was the moderator of a round table dedicated to the theme ‘Short Communications | Art and Science’, and on the following day he presented two papers, one focused on the CresceRio project (with our partner MARE – Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre) and the other on the International Conference Theatre About Science. that we co-organise every two years.

 

This networking, developed in partnership with international organisations and scientific research teams, has been Marionet’s commitment, alongside its ongoing artistic activity. And so we continue to cross theatre and science!
