“Other Data Club” is a multidisciplinary and informal discussion space for the contagion of our artistic work and the creation of communities interested in sharing ideas and references that have no space elsewhere in their daily lives.
Tomorrow we’ll bring the project’s artistic team together with scientific researchers and the public to share alternative interpretations of the word “cyborg” to Donna Haraway’s in “A cyborg manifesto”, where the term is a reference to the outdatedness of the elemental human body due to habituation to the technological extensions that contemporaneity allows for our bodies. For this, we are joined by robotics expert Norberto Pires, who is also an assistant professor at the University of Coimbra (UC) in the field of Mechanical Engineering and a researcher at the robotics laboratory.
