A Night of Emotions

Are we still able to recognize the basic emotions? How do we recognize the others?

 

Along with the preparation of its new theatre play dedicated to the theme of the expression of the emotions (which will be presented in Teatro da Cerca de S. Bernardo, from 25 to 27 November), Marionet will replicate an experiment performed by Charles Darwin, in a public session which will take place in Rómulo – Science Center of the University of Coimbra next 30 October, at 9pm. We will also discuss the theme with several researchers and arts who, in a way or the other, have addressed the subject of emotions in their work.

 

With the participation of Inês Almeida (neuroscientist), João Peça (neuroscientist), Luís Santos (researcher in robotics), Marcos Marques (actor), Mário Montenegro (actor), Paula Rita Lourenço (actress), Pedro Andrade (painter) and Susana Paiva (photographer). Chair: Carlos Fiolhais (physicist).
