José, a neuroscientist, while listening to a conversation between a scientist and a sportswoman, has the idea for the project of his life: creating the perfect human being. The play relates his path since his epiphany until the project’s final prototype, following a multidisciplinary team that tries to create an extra big step in human species’ evolution. Pole vaulting in the evolution of the species.

Following “Mr. de Chimpanzee” and “Flies are Rats that Fly”, Marionet and the Science Museum collaborate again to create a new play written and acted by scientists and presented during the European Researcher’s Night.
“Asn Ala Tyr Lys Lys Gly Glu” is a product of the imagination of the team involved in this project and results from the challenge of trying to cross science and sports. In the process of discussion and creation of the play, an amino acids sequence became central to our work, and we used part of that sequence to title the play. “Asn Ala Tyr Lys Lys Gly Glu” is a very special protein. It has been synthesized by scientists in a theatrical lab and, just like endorphin, it causes feelings of pleasure, well-being and sometimes euphoria.
