A performance that examines sexual regulation in institutional codes of conduct, interweaving Beck’s song ‘Sexx Laws’ with the Code of Good Conduct for the Prevention and Combating of Harassment at the University of Coimbra, alongside erotic and satirical poetry and linguistic patterns found in statements and interrogations in legal proceedings relating to sexual harassment in Portugal.
The performance took place during the closing session of the international colloquium “Sex Laws: f(r)ames and f(r)ictions in cultural legal studies”, organised by the Centre for Social Studies on 25 and 26 June 2026 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra. This event formed part of the project “LAWCUS – Sexual Harassment in Legal and Extra-Legal Contexts”, launched in 2025, for which our artistic director, Mário Montenegro, served as a consultant.
