We pick the next one
So as not to disturb those who may be on holiday, we are exceptionally left with the choice of book for the next Reading Theatre with Science.
But even though this time there will be no vote, we will still need the precious help of translators to create the Portuguese language version. Anyone who wants to collaborate in this citizen science inspired initiative can send us an email to: ler@marioneteatro.com
Returning to the book, we selected “The Other Place“, one of the most cherished plays in the last votes, but which never ended up in first place.
Written by the American Sharr White and published in 2013, the text has as its protagonist Juliana Smithton, a successful neurologist whose personal life is shattered. Her husband has filed for divorce, her daughter has run away from home and her own health is at risk. But all this past is just the surface of a much more complex and almost indescribable present reality…
So do we have a deal? Keep enjoying the sunshine and we’ll meet on 20 September.
