A library with 100 years deserves a show!
On 14 June, at 6pm, we present “Library Rat“, a very special show created to join the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Coimbra Municipal Library, inaugurated in December 1922.
Without leaving the lending room, we travel through the library, where a pair of performers play multiple characters of a story in which the real protagonists are the books.
For the writing of the text we counted once again on Joana Ferrajão, whose work won us over when she collaborated with us in the show “Countless Voices“.
The extensive programme of this well-deserved centenary celebration is carried out in conjunction with various city structures, extending until the end of 2023, with activities that, in addition to our theatrical show, also include film sessions, readings, music, dance, and markets.
