And the chosen play is...
After another competitive vote, tere’s a decision on the next work for Read Theatre with Science. Written by Carey Perloff, “Luminescence Dating” is a thriller about a lost statue, a lost child, an ancient mystery and a love affair between two hopelessly incompatible people.
The play will now be translated from English into Portuguese as part of the Collaborative Translation Project, in yet another exercise inspired by the concept of citizen science. Anyone who wants to join the team in time to take part in this translation, just send an email to ler@marioneteatro.com by 19 February.
We’ll read the translated version together at the Cerca de São Bernardo Theatre at 6pm on 27 March, World Theatre Day! Participating in the session, whether by reading or just watching, is just a phone call away. We’ll be bringing the usual cookies, accompanied by a good selection of teas. Come and celebrate this special day with us!
